Welcome, women anglers and fly tiers, to the Women’s Extravaganza at the IFFF Fair. This is your opportunity to meet other women of our sport in a friendly and fun environment, and add to your fishing skills among the women who are broadening the fishing world today. We are looking forward to meeting you!
Women’s Outreach: Regardless if you take any classes, please join one or all of our social activities. We will be gathering for coffee and lunch Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Look for time and location in the program. Come to the Women’s Extravaganza tent Friday and Saturday at the Fish Fest to meet and network with other women anglers and tiers. Join us Saturday evening at the Women’s Extravaganza tent from 4:30 to 6:00 pm for a happy hour before the BBQ.
Women’s Outreach ambassadors, identified with name tag ribbons, will be roaming about the fair. Feel free to ask them about classes, skill levels, casting opportunities, casting certification and any other questions you may have.
Women’s Fly Tying Workshop: Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:00 to 5:00 PM (Insert workshop number & page) Learn to tie your own flies in a program for women, taught by women. Beginner or beyond, this is the place for you. For two days you will tie various flies, building foundational tying techniques. Bring your vise and tools for a very hands-on experience with real-time coaching from your instructors. You’ll walk away with flies to chase trout in Montana and other waters. Each participant will receive a handy tool caddy and two will win fly tying benches. Limited to the 16 registrants.
Women’s Fly Fishing Workshop: Thursday & Friday, 8:00 to 5:00 PM (Insert workshop number & page) is for all women anglers, beginner/intermediate/advanced. Each day, the program begins in the classroom with instructors who are passionate, female fly fishers and then moves to some prime water, fly rod in hand, to reinforce the skills and concepts learned in the classroom. Our vast pool of experienced and accomplished instructors will support all students, helping each to grow in the pursuit of the pleasures of fishing. Limited to 16 registrants.
Experience All Things Fly Fishing! Join fly fishing experts Wednesday and Thursday, August 2 & 3 for two full days of fly fishing instruction.
This unique opportunity will help you to further develop your proficiency and knowledge of fly fishing. Students ruther their skills in fly casting, knot tying, identifying food items trout eat, and learning appropriate flies to match the hatch and other fishing situations. Four methods of fly fishing will be covered: wet fly, dry fly, nymph, and streamer and there will be on-water instruction and fly fishing adventure!
We are committed to ensuring that this will be a growth experience for each participant with one instructor per every three students. You will increase your fly fishing bag of tricks, become better anglers, and have the opportunity to catch more fish in the process - and don't forget, having fun as well. The group will be fishing a variety of water in the Livingston area.
Open to all Intermediate skill level fly anglers including men, women and youth 14 and older. See the workshop listing to sign up, limited to the first 12 registrants.
