Description: There will be a story of how the fish population has suffered in Georgia for last few decades; how the government tries to find solutions by creating protected areas and national parks where a lot of things are restricted, including recreational fishing. The program will be about the effort to argue that permitting fly fishing first on some of the national parks and after organizing permit and license based recreational fishing on all public lands will actually help Georgia's conservation effort and will help bring life to rivers phase by phase.

Enjoy an educational seminar about the world’s largest aquatic wilderness and the amazing fishes within it. The presentation will include an insightful explanation of how this amazing place came to be and why it’s so different from anything we temperate zone dwellers know.
We’ll learn about the make-up of the almost 3,000 species inhabiting these strange and unique waters. Then, we’ll focus on the Amazon’s fierce gamefish species and how to go about experiencing the excitement of catching them on the fly.
Paul Reiss is an experienced Amazon guide. A PhD program has built his understanding of fish behavior, while a lifetime of angling has honed his fishing knowledge.

Description: Jerry Coviello will show how to weave the Woven Body Caddis Larva. He does not know if having a two-toned body makes a difference when fishing nymphs, but some fly anglers swear that it works as a trigger to attract fish. Jerry likes how it looks, and the natural insect does not have one color but a few different shades. This fly will sink quickly and can be used for high stick nymphing in pocket water.

Description: Currently, our local club members and I are enjoying fly fishing activities, but we are very sorry that we have not joined FFi yet as an affiliate club. At our local streams are usually very small/tiny although they have beautiful Japanese native trout like Yamame, Amago, and Char, so fishing is always very tough. We sometimes take beginner fly-fishers to those streams, and enjoy fishing together with them. Today’s my presentation will cover: hard climbing and walking through heavy bushes to access streams, variety/diversity of Char family as target fish, fun of Bento of Japanese “mobile” outdoor lunches, and unpleasant small bugs in warm climate environment.
