FFI is Seeking Members to Serve on the FFI Board of Directors
The Fly Fishers International Board Nominations, Elections and Board Development Committee is seeking dedicated members to serve on Board of Directors. We seek individuals who are dedicated to FFI’s mission to ensure the legacy of fly fishing for all fish in all waters through conservation, education and a sense of community.
The FFI Board of Directors provides oversight and control of all aspects of the governance of FFI. Board members are expected to participate in 4-6 Board meetings each year and participate as active members of at least two FFI Board Committees. The Board of Directors is a working Board and the directors lend their time and talent to serve the organization.
Once a potential slate of nominees is established the Nominations, Elections and Board Development Committee will vet and interview potential candidates. A final slate of candidates will then be presented to the membership for a vote.
Board Member Responsibilities
The fundamental responsibility of directors, officers and important volunteers is to represent prudently the interests of the organization's members and other constituencies in directing the business and affairs of the organization within the law. Several documents provide an overview of the board member's responsibilities as well as the direction of the organization. Each candidate should review the documents prior to submitting the nomination.
