Equipment Loan Program

Equipment Loan Program

Bob Jacklin, longtime FFI member, teaches Chris Williams the art of fly tying.

Every fly fisherman would like to pass on their skills to a young person, so that the art of fly fishing will stay alive for future generation.  Sometimes you just need the tools of the trade to help the younger generation appreciate the sport.  If you do, the FFI is the place to come.

The Equipment Loan Program makes rods, reels, fly tying vises and tying materials available to councils and FFI-affiliated clubs throughout the nation and non-commercial organizations within Montana. These organizations use the equipment for educational programs that will ultimately produce the fly fishers and conservationists of the future.

The importance of educational outreach programs to our aquatic resources is unquestionable. Fly fishing is a wonderful way to build the relationship between participants and our resources. With the Equipment Loan Program, the most difficult part of providing these programs is taken care of. Organizations need only to pay for the shipping and handling of the equipment.

The application process for the Equipment Loan Program is simple. Complete the Equipment Loan Program Form and return it to clubs@flyfishersinternational.org.  Or have your organization contact FFI HQ with a specific set of dates for use of the equipment along with approximate numbers needed. Equipment numbers are be limited, so apply early.
