Every casting journey begins with the desire to cast better. Join five women as they share their unique paths toward taking the FFI Casting Instructor Certification. Hear what inspired them, the tools and experiences that supported their growth, and how they navigated challenges along the way. Their stories offer insight, encouragement, and practical ideas to help guide your own casting journey.

In addition to fly tying, you too can build your own rod from readily available components.  Our speaker will walk us through the process and provide additional information on how to source your materials.  You will be able to ask questions throughout the program.

Understanding and Selecting Your Fly Rod - Shawn Combs & Rachel Leinweber
This program will discuss what makes a good fly rod and how to identify those characteristics when you are purchasing a rod. The program will include discussion of the components of a rod from the perspective of an outstanding rod designer.  As an angler you will deal with a shop owner when you purchase a rod so the panel will also include a shop owner who will educate you on how to approach your own fly shop.
