Dave Leonhard has been fly fishing for more than 60 years and has taught fly casting for four decades. Dave is eager to assist those who aspire to become FFI casting instructors. He has authored numerous casting articles for Michigan Trout Magazine, was director of fly casting instruction for the Trout Unlimited Fly Fishing School in Traverse City for 25 years, and is a charter member of the Adams Chapter of Trout Unlimited. Dave has been a Master Casting Instructor for Fly Fishers International since 1998, is owner of Streamside Orvis in Traverse City, Michigan, and is the owner and director of instruction for the Orvis Michigan Fly Fishing School at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa in Traverse City, Michigan.
