Ron  Kless

Hello, my name is Ron Kless and I am very glad to meet you. I have been fly fishing lakes and rivers since 1994. I have been a fly fishing guide since 2002, and a competition fly angler since 2008. I love all types of fishing. I fly fish fresh and saltwater. I have been lucky to grow up in the Northwest. Oregon is my home state. I have been steelhead and salmon fishing almost 20 plus years hardcore. I have been lucky to have a brother that lives in the Olympic Peninsula of Washington. We use conventional and fly tackle to catch all types of species. I have a very well rounded background in techniques to catch fish consistently. I have been teaching conventional, Euro Nymphing and fly fishing classes for the last 18 years. I really enjoy working with people at a very personal level. I have been around different types of instructors and have taken the best I could gather from each of them. I have been a military training instructor for 20 years and have been blessed to serve and train with the best. I bring this training experience to every outing. I learn from anyone. I think when you quit learning you need to find something else to do. I love working with people and see their passion grow beginning in the sport. I have worked with intermediate and advanced anglers to help the hone their skills to the next level. Again, I learn from everybody and I gained as much from them as they gained from me. I have been a Certified Casting Instructor since 2006. I have been averaging about 60-70 instructional hours a year. This does not include guide trips or personal trips to the river. I have been helping anyone interested in learning to cast from 6 years old to the elderly. I am building a strong base knowledge to test for my Masters Certification. On top of all that I have really honing my two handed casting skills using single handed, switch and double handed spey rods. I really have enjoyed this immensely. It has opened up a totally new dimension of casting dynamics. I like the versatility of different casting techniques when there is no room for a back cast. I think it adds another level to your fishing enjoyment being comfortable placing a fly where most would never dare. I truly enjoy teaching and working with people. I look forward to seeing you all in the future on the river or in a class. Very nice to meet you all and I wish you great success on the river. Very Respectfully Ron Kless
