Started bait fishing at six years of age growing up in Singapore. Graduated to spin fishing in primary school.

Certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist after residency in Downstate University of New York.

Entranced by fly fishers along Colorado River during drive to California in 1975. nrolled immediately in fly casting weekend course. Received diploma upon completion from "Fenwick Institute of Fly Fishing", signed Mel Krieger, Headmaster!

Practiced dermatology in California from 1975. Volunteer fly casting instructor at Inland Flyfishers, Claremont, and at Deep Creek Flyfishers, Riverside in the nineties.

Retired in 2004: has been traveling and fishing steadily since. Life member, FFF. Private lessons: fly casting, ukulele. Mentors instructor candidate groups.
