Join FFI and The Fly Shop at FlyFest 2026

Fly Fishers International’s FlyFest, presented by The Fly Shop, is set to return September 24–26 in Redding, California, bringing fly anglers together for three days of learning, connection, and celebration in the heart of Northern California’s trout country.

FlyFest is Fly Fishers International’s signature gathering; an open invitation to anglers of every age and skill level who care about fly fishing, the waters we fish, and the community that surrounds the sport. Whether you’re just getting started or have spent decades on the river, FlyFest is designed to meet you where you are.

The 2026 event brings education and community together under one roof at the Redding Civic Auditorium. A full schedule of presentations, fly tying and casting demonstrations, and a vibrant consumer trade show form the core of the weekend, with the trade show positioned at the center of the action. Everything flows through a shared space, creating natural opportunities for conversation, learning, and connection throughout the event.

Attendees can expect meaningful content delivered by respected voices in fly fishing, along with plenty of time built in for fishing, food, fellowship, and fun. All core programming is included with one straightforward registration fee, making FlyFest accessible and easy to plan.

For those who want to go deeper, FlyFest also offers optional small-group seminars designed for up-close learning and thoughtful discussion. The weekend concludes with a community dinner and fundraising auction which is another meaningful opportunity to connect, celebrate the fly-fishing community, and support the mission and conservation work of Fly Fishers International.

We are proud to partner with The Fly Shop as Presenting Partner for FlyFest 2026. For nearly five decades, The Fly Shop has been a leader in conservation, stewardship, and fly-fishing education in Northern California, and their commitment reflects the values at the heart of this event.

Set against the backdrop of iconic Northern California waters, FlyFest 2026 promises a gathering rooted in education, community, and stewardship.  It will be a weekend fly anglers won’t want to miss!
