Sam started fly fishing in the Sacramento area after seeing Fly casting Shad fisherman catch fish after fish on the American River. He got certified to help teach other club members to cast & to catch more fish. There were no good FFFCCI in our Fly Fishing Clubs. Sam watched various fly casting videos and was mentored by Master Caster Floyd Dean who helped as a casting coach. A real coach is so much better than a video. Five minutes with a live person is so much better than hours of videos.

    Now Sam teaches fly casting before the both  monthy meeting of the Fly Fishers of Davis (FFD) and Sacramento's Oldest Fly Fishing Club, California Fly Fishers Unlimited CFFU.
