I got into fly fishing at the age of 14, I instantly fell in love with the sport. I have been tying and fishing since. At the age of 21 I decided to stop my career in the automotive industry, and started my career in the fly fishing industry. During my time doing so, I started in a fly shop, then eventually managed that fly shop. I guided on Utah's Green River, below the Flaming Gorge Dam, and some local waters around Salt Lake City. In 2014 I was one of the two guides that's team won the Utah TU Single Fly event on the Green River. I spent two years as a manufactures rep in the lower Rockies region for 15 different brands in the fly fishing industry. I have since moved to the Portland OR, Vancouver WA area to chase steelhead, and to work on my two handed casting so that I can work towards my MCI. I believe that casting is what intrigued me so much about fly fishing. To me it's not about catching as many fish as I can, it's about the presentation and reward of the fish eating your fly when you do so. I enjoy instructing more than guiding. LETS GO CAST!
