Born March 8 1947 (age 66). Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degrees from Auburn University in Biology. Worked for 31 years for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection in Aquatic Plant Control and Coastal Resource Management. Worked two years for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission as the head of their Saltwater Fisheries Education Program. Retired in 2008. I often fish the Big Bend area of the Gulf of Mexico for near shore species including sea trout, redfish, mackerel, bluefish, and tarpon. I also fish some regional freshwaters, and currently hold two world records for Shoal Bass (Micropterus cataractae) from the Flint River in southern Georgia._
