Gary  Davison

What should one put in a Bio?  I look at those that have influenced me through my career as a fly fisher and I do my best to pass on what they have taught me.  Those contacts ever so brief make such a great impact on what we as instructors can share with our students.

I have been fortunate to have a few great mentors to help me.  My brother Lee Davison who is Two Handed Certified Instructor and Master Certified Casting Instructor.  My mentor here in Texas who is no longer with us and is missed tremdously Mr. Allen Crise Master Casting Instructor of Hawk Ridge Fly Casting School, who taught many CCI & Master instructor!  Mr. Gordy Hill who is a BOG, Master Certified Casting Instructor and a monitor of a Master Study Group who has enlightened me with more than I could have imagined regarding this sport.  Plus the help of countless other Certified Casting Instructors from all levels that have helped me work to hone my skills and abilities to teach others how to make a Fly Cast which is something fun and enjoyable!

What I am saying its all the folks you meet along the way that make the difference. To me what really means the most is reaching out to others to achieve the main objective and reward, which is to teach you and others how to fly cast and enjoy the art of fly fishing.

The clubs and organizations we belong to help us with this by our association such as TU, FFF, local clubs in our areas, Clinics and National Fairs that we attend and support through the years.

All the Best.

PS. The Good the Bad and the Ugly!

We have to make a few ugly casts, inorder to make some bad casts, which will turn into a lot of good casts with practice!!

Enjoy the journey!!!
