Continuing Education - Stillwater Casting and Retrieves

This presentation will provide deep dive into various aspects of stillwater fly fishing:  rods, lines, leaders, and indicators.  Phil will discuss casting techniques for floating and sinking lines, long leaders and complex indicator setups.  He will also discuss casting techniques for dealing with the wind and essential stillwater retrieves.

Phil has been fly fishing for over 35 years and is an internationally recognized fly fisherman, author, instructor and TV personality.  He has written for most major North America fly fishing publications and has authored five books, including the best selling Orvis Guide to Stillwater Trout Fishing.  He has conducted seminars, clinics, speaking engagements and guided trips across North America.  In competitive fly fishing he participated in the 2017 Canadian Fly Fishing Championships on a gold medal team.  Phil is recognized as one of the leading voices in stillwater fly fishing in North America.  His information should improve your stillwater fishing success and your teaching of these techniques to your students.
