Fly Fishers International (FFI), the world’s leading organization dedicated to growing the community of fly fishing, today announced the launch of a national search for its next Executive Director. The organization is seeking a leader who understands the heart of fly fishing, values the power of volunteer-driven communities, and is ready to guide FFI into its next chapter.
Fly fishing is changing. New fly fishers are discovering the sport and looking for connection, purpose, and stewardship. FFI exists to meet that moment by bringing people together, protecting what matters, and ensuring fly fishing remains meaningful and accessible for generations to come.
The Executive Director will be responsible for leading all aspects of FFI’s operations and implementing the organization’s strategic plan. The role calls for an experienced leader with deep respect for fly fishing culture, conservation ethics, and the unique energy of volunteer-powered organizations. The position provides staff leadership overseeing strategy, communications, fundraising, membership growth, partnerships, and works in collaboration with FFI’s Board of Directors.

Compensation is commensurate with the level of position, and experience required.
