Summary  - There are very few moments when Matt Tripet can’t be found wading an alpine stream, or river with a fly rod in hand. His passion for fly fishing and people is certainly evident.

Hailing from New England NSW, Matt first picked up a fly rod at age of 12, and by the age of 13 he had well and truly become an obsessive fly fisherman. Since then, Matt has introduced many people to the art of fly fishing, and coached them in all aspects of this sport.

As a guide, Matt is in his element. There is nothing he enjoys more than sharing with others the intricacies of this fantastic sport and the beautiful alpine water ways found in the NSW Snowy Mountains region.

Matt actively supports a 100% catch and release philosophy in all streams and rivers. He also vigorously supports a leave no trace ethic, leaving the water ways cleaner for the growth of a sustainable and cleaner environment.
