My Corded Deerskin Lanyards
I use free-range deer and elk leathers for all of my lanyards. These leathers are all from legally hunted game that are used for their meat. Each lanyard is corded by hand. Cordage is an ancient spiral braiding technique noted for its combination of strength, beauty and durability. I use Irish waxed linen for the wraps along with glass and bone beads to decorate the fringe. I hand-dye the beads with walnut hull, coffee and teas to get a range of earthy hues. Bead color and placement will vary. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each lanyard goes directly toward wildlife conservation. Go to the "Pro-Impact" Leathers tab for more info on the leathers I use and the organizations I support.
*Regardless of how long you have had your lanyard or how hard you have worn it, I'm happy to replace the rubber keepers for you at no charge. Just contact me with your address and I'll pop some in the mail to you, or you can send me your lanyard with return shipping and I'll take care of it. Make sure it is in bubble wrap or some sort of protective packaging and please give me a heads up when they are on the way!
