CAST04 Virtual Video Casting Analysis Using OnForm

Description:  This is a two session workshop on 11/05/2021 (Part A) and 11/7/2021 (Part B) from 3:00 to 5:00 PM ET both days. This casting workshop is designed for all casting skill levels and casting instructors. Students are asked (expected) to attend both days to benefit from the instruction (read on). On Friday, we will cover key elements of the casting stroke and introduce a video casting analysis tool called OnForm. Volunteers who want to have their casting form analyzed will take videos of their casts on Saturday using a free version of the OnForm app that the instructor will send them. Then on Sunday, the entire student group, including the volunteers, will listen to the feedback session with the Master Casting Instructor while watching the on-screen analysis of the casting videos using the OnForm app. This workshop will teach you multiple ways to improve your casting technique through video casting analysis including self-improvement, virtual remote learning, and face-to-face casting lessons.

Class Fee: $50 for both sessions

Description: The Saltwater Quick Cast is a “procedure” that starts with rigging up your rod and ends with hooking up with a fish. This process is different than what most fly anglers do in freshwater fishing, so learning and practicing the routine of prep, ready, execute, and hook-set means quick and efficient performance when you are on the water and facing down your target, whether it be a Tarpon, Permit, Redfish, Bonefish, or any other of the exciting saltwater species that you can stalk with a fly rod.
