17th Annual Tie-a-thon to benefit three great causes.

South Bend, IN - The flies raised durning the 17th annual Tie-a-thon will benefit three great causes: The Mayfly Project, Reeling in Recovery of Atlanta and the Brotherhood of the Junglecock - New York.

We ask donors to pick a pattern off the pattern list, tie 100 flies of that pattern and donate them. Flies are due April 15, 2023. Each donor will receive a T-shirt of the campaign artwork designed by Andy Kitson of Amish Trout Outfitters. Indicate your shirt size when you turn in your flies

No matter your skill level, we welcome all tyers and flies. There is no better way of honing your skills than tying a pattern 100 times. Choose a fly pattern from our list and tie 100 of the same size. The style of the pattern and color is up to you.

Please email us what pattern you like, so we can track what patterns will be coming to the causes. tieathon@gmail.com

On April 15th, tyers will gather at the Elkhart Conservation Club to wrap up the Tie-a-Thon with a celebration lunch and tying session. There will be more information on this as we get closer to the celebration date.

We are excited to build a fantastic inventory of flies for these three great causes. Last year, 36,400 flies were donated to Casting for Recovery of Indiana and Michigan—we would love to break that record in 2023.

In 16 years, tyers have donated over 221,000 flies to great non-profit causes who use fly fishing for therapy and education. If you have questions or want more information, visit Tie-a-thon at www.tieathon.org. Find us on Facebook and Instagram. Please check out this year’s recipients and support them anyway you can.
